Amarone wine database 2.1

The app offers a comprehensive collection of Amarone wines produced over the last decade or so. With a current count of 867 wines, this database is regularly updated to provide up-to-date information. Each wine entry is accompanied by detailed information and images showcasing both the wine and its producer.

The wines are conveniently organized in alphabetical order based on the producer's name or the wine's title. Users have the option to adjust the sorting criteria using the icon located in the top right corner. Additionally, a search feature is available for quick access to specific wines.

For wines with multiple images, users can scroll through the page to view all available pictures. Identifying the manufacturer of an Amarone can be a complex task due to the vast number of producers—approximately 350 in total. These producers range from small wineries crafting a single Amarone bearing their name to larger establishments that release multiple variations under different labels.

Wineries typically source grapes from smaller growers, producing and marketing wines under various labels. Cooperatives operate similarly to wineries but may choose to keep vineyards separate during production, enabling the creation of vineyard-specific wines. Some entities specialize in procuring wines, bottling them, and selling under unique labels.

Each wine description specifies the area of production within Classico, Valpantena, East, or Quinzano— with Quinzano being situated between Classico and Valpantena. This geographical context adds depth and insight into each wine's origin.
